Book Wars a weekly feature hosted between two book review blogs – A Life Bound By Books & Much Loved Books!

It’s a fact that book lovers know all about the covers of the books they covet.  Often when a title is released here in the US, it’s sometimes vastly different across the pond in the US.  So, Michelle from Much Loved Books and I have come together to create Book Wars to talk about the difference in covers when it comes to the US vs. UK versions.

We hope from time to time authors will chime in with their thoughts as well. We welcome everyone to comment and share their thoughts too! The more the merrier!

Before we get to this weeks Book Wars, we have a winner to announce. The Book Wars winner for The Drafter (The Peri Reed Chronicles #1) by Kim Harrison is.....  !  Thank you to everyone who voted for both books, and for picking a winner.

Also, there's a poll at the bottom of the post that we'd love to hear your input for the two covers! Tell us which one YOU love the most.

Synopsis: The legacy of the Black Dagger Brotherhood continues in a spin-off series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author…

Paradise, blooded daughter of the king’s First Advisor, is ready to break free from the restrictive life of an aristocratic female. Her strategy? Join the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s training center program and learn to fight for herself, think for herself…be herself. It’s a good plan, until everything goes wrong. The schooling is unfathomably difficult, the other recruits feel more like enemies than allies, and it’s very clear that the Brother in charge, Butch O’Neal, a.k.a. the Dhestroyer, is having serious problems in his own life.

And that’s before she falls in love with a fellow classmate. Craeg, a common civilian, is nothing her father would ever want for her, but everything she could ask for in a male. As an act of violence threatens to tear apart the entire program, and the erotic pull between them grows irresistible, Paradise is tested in ways she never anticipated—and left wondering whether she’s strong enough to claim her own power…on the field, and off.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.

Lisa Oh how I LOVE these books!!! They're without a doubt some of my all time favorites! I might be one or two behind on my reading but the previous books are always a go-to when I need some something vampy and well, steamy. And now we have the first in a spin off from the original series and I can't wait!

When I look at both of these covers I really like them! When you see them up against the original series they both fit for the US and the UK. However... the book appears to be more about a female character - Paradise. So I'm going to have to cast my vote for the US cover because we female model on the cover.

Not to knock the UK cover in the slightest and I might have gone with a UK vote hard there ben a female included... but this week my vote goes to the US cover.

Which one do YOU like best? Click a cover below and let us know!
Michelle This is the first time I have seen these covers, I also have not read these book so I have no idea how relevant the cover is to the story itself. Looking at both of these covers side by side, it's easy for me to see which is my favourite.

The US one has both male and female on the cover, and in all honesty it does nothing for me, and it does nothing to inspire me to want to read the book. However, the UK cover looks dark, dangerous, and very very sexy, and this is the one that captured my eye and kept me looking at all the glorious detail of the cover model.

It's a very easy UK vote for me this week, don't forget to leave your vote below.
